When you pray this petition, you confess you cannot overcome temptation by yourself and instead seek the salvation you need from God.
Because our sins are forgiven by the blood of Christ, we must know this forgiveness, and we must also forgive others.
Because our Saviour tells us to pray for our daily bread, we must pray for our physical needs, and rest in the promise that God will provide.
